Reconditioning of audio tapes

Old audio tapes may need reconditioning before they can be transferred. This is a precise heating and drying process for sticky audio and video magnetic tapes (common phenomenon of hydrolysis) which can be made readable again by the application of a process called “baking”. The strips are thus placed in an oven where the temperature and humidity are closely controlled during this process which can take between 10 to 12 hours.

Production MD is equipped with this reconditioning device which completes its digital transfer arsenal.

DIGITAL MODIFICATIONS

After transfering your audio material into MP3 files, a $ 1,25 / min fee is required for any additional changes (additional sound adjustment, file separation into multiple tracks, individual track identification). Minimum fee of $20 for this service.
